Liu Zhongliang

Liu Zhongliang has extensive experience in the resources business. For more than 30 years, he had been with China Minmetals Corporation, a large sized group dealing worldwide in development, production, trading and operation for metals and minerals. From 1990 to 1995, Mr. Liu was appointed as Chairman and CEO of China Minmetals group. Under his leadership, the groupís business grew rapidly. During the period, he spearheaded the group to extend its business into other areas. In 1993, China Minmetal, together with China Foreign Trade Trust & Investment Co. invested HK $363 million to purchase 33.75 percent of the shares in First Pacific Bank, which is listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. After increases of capital and placements of shares, Minmetals and China Foreign Trade Trust & Investment Co. held 75 percent of the shares in First Pacific Bank. In 1995, Mr. Liu was appointed by the Ministry of Commerce of China to be the Chairman and CEO of China United Trading Corporation Ltd., a government owned trading company registered in New York, dealing with import and export of metals and minerals. Currently, Mr. Liu dedicates himself to environmental protection. He is the Honorary Director-General of China Fossil Preservation Foundation (CFPR), a foundation that promotes fossil conservation and geological environment protection in China.

Patrick Elliott

Patrick Elliott is a company director, specializing in the resources sector, with 35 years experience in investment and corporate management. His early career was at Consolidated Gold Fields Australia Limited and covered investment analysis and management, and minerals marketing. In 1979, he went into investment banking and in 1983 became Head of Corporate Finance for Morgan Grenfell Australia Limited, managing a team of Corporate Financing professionals. In 1986, he was Managing Director with Natcorp Investments Limited, which specialised in acquiring and then operating a number of manufacturing businesses. Since 1995, Mr. Elliott has been active as an equities investor specialising in early stage and start-up companies with emphasis on mineral resources. Mr. Elliott is a Certified Practicing Accountant (Australia), and holds a Bachelor of Commerce, and is also an MBA specialised in Mineral Economics. He currently sits on the board of a number of Listed Companies as Non-executive Director or Chairman, including Australia Oriental Minerals NL, Argonaut Resources NL, Global Geoscience Limited, Platsearch NL and Crossland Uranium Mines Limited which has Uranium exploration interests in Australia.

Manu Bhaskaran

Manu Bhaskaran is a Partner of the Centennial Group, a strategic advisory firm based in Washington D.C. Based in Singapore, he co-ordinates the Asian business of the group and, as Head of its Economic Research Practice, he provides in-depth analysis of macro trends in Asia for investment institutions, government agencies and companies with interests in Asia. Prior to this, Mr. Bhaskaran supervised Asian economic and investment strategy analysis for Societe Generaleís Asian investment banking division. Prior to that, Mr. Bhaskaran supervised a team preparing strategic political and economic assessments of Asia for senior Singapore government officials. He is also a member of the Competition Appeals Board, Singapore; a member of the Board of Advisors of the School of Economics, Singapore Management University, and Adjunct Senior Research Fellow of the Institute of Policy Studies Singapore. In addition, Mr. Bhaskaran is also a Council Member of the Singapore Institute of International Affairs (SIIA) and Vice-President of the Economics Society of Singapore. Mr. Bhaskaran serves as a director of several companies including one that is listed on the Singapore stock exchange.
