Dr. Foo Fatt Kah  Managing Director

Dr Foo has over 25 years of experience in investment banking, venture capital, private equity investments, financial advisory and consulting. He started his career as an equity analyst specialising in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sector in Europe, working at Robert Fleming & Co, Barings Securities and Paribas Capital Markets in London, UK. In Asia, he has lived and worked both in Hong Kong and Singapore with Deutsche Morgan Grenfell (now Deutsche Bank) and Societe General (SG). He was latterly Head of Asian Equities and Co-Head of the Investment Bank for SG Securities Asia covering 10 Asian countries. He was the Asian Venture Partner for Aravis Ventures, a global venture capital firm specializing in Biotechnology and Energy investments between 2004~2012. Dr. Foo is qualified in Medicine (M.B., B. Ch., B.A.O.) and Business Administration (MBA) from Queen's University, UK.


Kwan Chee Seng  Executive Director

Chee Seng has over 30 years of experience in management and investment as a businessman and as an investor, particularly in the area of Mergers and Acquisition (M&A). In 2001, he acquired various local and international operations from the engineering division of SGX Mainboard-listed Van der Horst Limited (now known as Interra Resources Limited). After the acquisition, he restructured and rationalised the acquired entities, and successfully divested them with significant returns. Besides being the Chairman of his investment holding company, Chee Seng has sat on the Boards of numerous listed companies as a major shareholder. Presently, he is a Non-Executive Director and a major shareholder of ASX-listed Variscan Mines Limited. Since 1 March 2013, he has also been appointed as an Executive Director of SGX Mainboard-listed GRP Limited and is responsible for the Group's property business development. He is also a Non-Executive Director of SGX Catalist-listed Starland Holdings Limited, an 83.5% indirectly-owned subsidiary of GRP Limited. Thus, he brings to Luminor a unique set of skills with an M&A angle.


Kantilal Champaklal  Director

Kantilal has had more than 30 years' experience in Financial Management and Business/project evaluation. He joined the Van der Horst group in March 2002, and was appointed its CEO to establish controls and financial viability at the Philippines Engineering operations. In May 2003 he was re-assigned to Singapore to be the Financial Controller for the Van der Horst group. In September 2013, Kantilal was appointed as the Chief Financial Officer of GRP Limited, a Company listed on the mainboard of the Singapore stock exchange. He is a member of the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants. Prior to joining the Van der Horst group, he held various senior finance and management functions with US and European multinational companies, active in Engineering and Offshore construction. His former employers include McDermott and Kvaerner. He commenced his career with one of the largest international audit firms. He graduated from the University of Singapore with a Bachelor's degree in Accountancy. A former national sportsman, he also served as Deputy President of the Singapore Cricket Association, a national sports body.


Dr Lawrence Chin  Executive Director, Investments

Dr Lawrence Chin has extensive investing and operating experience in technology startups, joint ventures and mergers & acquisitions (M&A). His prior experience includes 10 years as a senior investment professional at Bio*One Capital, a global healthcare fund that manages over US$750M in investments. Dr Chin has assumed senior managerial positions as well as Board Director roles in companies in Asia, Europe and USA. He has a diverse background in clinical medicine, medical services and health insurance, and also previously worked for the global insurance firm AXA. Dr Chin is qualified in Medicine (M.B., B.S.) and Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Western Australia.


Joan Ong  Investments Support

Joan brings with her experience from the travel, publishing and retail industry. She joined as a marketing associate with Luminor Capital in Singapore before moving on to her current role under investment support. She holds a bachelor degree of Marketing and the Media from Murdoch University, and a diploma in Business Information Technology (E-Business) from Singapore Polytechnic.


Sidonia Shen  Director, Marketing

Ms. Shen has worked for over 15 years in the financial services industry, including 5 years in offshore finance markets. Her work experience has encompassed various financial sectors covering investment banking, private equity and hedge funds. Ms. Shen was most recently a vice President at Newspace Capital which, along with its parent company, have shareholdings in 3 listed companies in China and 2 securities companies in both HK and China. Prior to Newspace Capital, Ms Shen was an Assistant Vice President at Phillip Private Equity Pte Ltd. She is one of the most experienced professionals in the GIP fund industry and has raised in excess of S$600 million for 6 GIP-Approved Funds.


Mellissa Long  Assistant Director, Marketing

Mellissa's customer relationship and organization skills are honed from a background covering Credit Control and Client Services. She holds a Diploma of Law from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and a Diploma in Biochemistry from Singapore Polytechnic.


Yena Ho  Office Manager

Yena's experience has been gained over 15 years in corporate roles including General Administration, Human Resources and Accounts for several companies including one listed on the Singapore stock exchange (SGX) and one in Australia (ASX). She graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor's degree in Arts, double majoring in Economics and General Mathematics.


Wong Yoke Teng  Administrative Officer

Yoke Teng has over 8 years of experiences in performing various functions of an executive assistant to the higher/top management. Her expertise includes, but not limited to, facilities management, documentation organization, professional liaison with clients and vendors to ensure efficient organizational task management.


Kwan Yu Wen  Assistant Director, Operations

Yu Wen is involved in the operations and business development of Luminor. Prior to joining Luminor, she dealt primarily with the evaluation of investment and business expansion opportunities.
